Year 5 PGL trip

Day 1 We have all arrived safely to PGL and are very much looking forward to our time ahead! As we arrived, we had the chance to meet the Year 5 pupils from Southwold and Orchard and enjoyed getting to know each other over lunch.  We kicked off our activities with orienteering, where each team was given a map and worked together to explore the centre. The next activity was high ropes — jumping off the trapeze really tested our resilience and ambition. After dinner, we enjoyed a Games Night, taking part in more team games hosted by the PGL leaders. We are looking forward to seeing what day 2 has in store for us! Day 2 The children woke…

Day 1

We have all arrived safely to PGL and are very much looking forward to our time ahead!

Day 2

The children woke up ready for another action packed day after all the fun we had yesterday. Year 5 started the day with a delicious cooked breakfast and were soon ready to begin the activities.

We worked together to build rafts, using problem solving skills and fantastic team work. Our rafts worked well, yet somehow we still managed to get pretty wet! This activity was followed by orienteering and problem solving, giving us the opportunity to work together and explore the site.

After lunch, we demonstrated our courage and determination by taking on the challenge of the big swing or zip wire. After dinner, it was time to celebrate our last night together at the disco!

Day 3

After a fun night at the disco, we all slept well and woke up ready for our final morning of activities. Once we had packed up our rooms, we had some time to relax near the cabins before setting off on our last adventures.

First, the final groups had their turns on the big swing or zip wire – such an exhilarating experience! Then we had one last opportunity to put our teamwork skills to the test as we tackled the ‘sensory trail’. Relying on our listening skills, we guided our teammates through the course.

After three days filled with activities, teamwork, and loads of fun, our time at PGL has come to an end. Although we’ve had an amazing adventure, we’re all looking forward to heading home, getting some rest, and seeing our families!
