Year 5 enjoyed their second gardening workshop where they learnt all about flax. They carefully followed the guidance of their teacher to firstly, break down the flax stem and make it soft, they then used scrutching to remove the outer layer of their flax, next they brushed the fibre to make it soft and finally, they spun their material to make a twine.
