The Hoxton, Orchard and Southwold Debate Teams came together for the first Federation Debate Mate Competition. All three schools brought confident and articulate speakers with well-researched and structured speeches. The students debated topics such as single-use plastics, whether children should be driven to school and space travel. Whilst all teams provided many points of information, thought of pithy rebuttals on their feet and used fantastic rhetorical questions. Well done to the Orchard team who came out as the winners and for everyone who took part.
