Science

Through science we understand the world around us and we learn the processes and strategies of investigation and discovery.

In their studies children explore materials, physical forces and the natural world. Children develop the skills to hypothesise, predict and draw conclusions.

All children experience learning through investigation. Learning through the process of ‘doing science’ is highly effective way for children to learn concepts.

In order to support pupils to ‘know more and remember more’, links are regularly made to prior learning and teacher questioning aims to identify and address misconceptions quickly.
