Day 3 – Erasmus Project International Partner Schools Visit
This was the day that they had all been waiting for… Cooking the Spanish and English recipes at the Hackney School of Food. The children formed international groups of three to work together in helping each other to understand the recipes in either English or Spanish. As well as understanding the recipes, the Chef showed them how to improve their knife skills safely. The results were Spanish Tortilla, Potato Salad and Coleslaw. In the afternoon the children attended a conference run by Hackney Education for language teachers to share their experiences of understanding a different culture, improving their language skills and international friendship/partnerships.
