CELEBRATING DIVERSITY DURING FAMILIES’ WEEK

Last week we celebrated Families’ Week. Our theme this year focused on celebrating diversity within our school. Families’ week is an opportunity for children to explore the different family structures in our modern society. They learned that some children have a mum and a dad, some live in single parent families, some have foster parents, some live with their grandparents and some have same-sex parents. The most important learning point for all our children was that as long as the family environment is a loving one it does not matter how it is structured. We hope the children shared their learning with you.
