Apply for a Nursery Place
Our Nursery is open to children aged three and four, and children are eligible to start from the day after their third birthday. We have a rolling admissions programme and accept applications at any time of the year. We have current availability for an immediate start.
Nursery applications are dealt with directly by the school. To help with the process, please ensure that you check your eligibility for 30 hours of childcare by visiting www.gov.uk and completing the eligibility checker. If you are eligible for 30 hour childcare, please provide us with your 11 digit eligibility code to support us in allocating the correct place to your child.
If you are not eligible for 30h free childcare but would like your child to attend on a full time basis, you have the option to pay for a top up place. Please call the school office to discuss this ahead of making an application for a space.
Nursery applications are allocated using the same admissions criteria as the schools reception places.

Further Information
Where there are more applications than places available, the following criteria will be used to decide which children will be allocated places:
Will my child receive free school meals?
Full time Nursery pupils will be offered free school meals.
How can I prepare my child for starting Nursery?
Preparing your child for starting Nursery is helpful in ensuring a smooth transition. Talk to your child about what to expect, such as making new friends, learning new things, and having fun. You can also introduce activities that promote independence, like getting dressed on their own or following simple instructions. Encouraging social interactions through playdates or group activities can help build their social skills and confidence. Most importantly, establishing a consistent routine at home can help a quick adjustment to the structure of a school day.
How will I know my child is making progress?
Each term you will be invited to book an appointment to meet the teacher to talk about learning. You will also receive a termly report with information about progress in the different areas of learning.
